Since 9 September 2026 you can ask Siri for your planetary hours. "What's the current planetary hour in Planetaro" gets you the ruling planet, how long it has left and which planet comes next, spoken out loud and shown on a card. As far as we know, Planetaro is the first planetary hours app that does this. Before writing that sentence we checked the other planetary hours apps on the App Store, and in September 2026 none of them offers Siri support.

Why planetary hours belong in Siri

Planetary hours are a timing tool. The whole point is to know, at a given moment, which planet rules and whether now is a good time to send the email, make the call or start the thing. That moment usually arrives when your hands are busy: cooking, driving, walking into a meeting. Opening an app, waiting for it to load and reading a list is exactly what you cannot do right then.

A spoken question fixes that. You ask, Siri answers in one sentence, and if you glance at the screen there is a card with the details. The information was always in the app. What changed is that you no longer have to go and get it.

What you can ask

Planetaro 2026.5 answers seven kinds of question. Each one works with Siri, as an action in the Shortcuts app, and from Spotlight.

  • The current planetary hour. "What's the current planetary hour in Planetaro". The ruling planet, when the hour ends, how much is left, and what comes next.
  • The next hour of a planet. "When is the next Mars hour in Planetaro". Always today or tomorrow, since every planet rules at least three hours a day.
  • The Moon phase. "What's the moon phase in Planetaro". Phase, illumination and the Moon's sign.
  • Void of course. "Is the Moon void of course in Planetaro". Whether the Moon is void now, and when the next void period starts and ends.
  • Your best hours. "When are the best hours for love in Planetaro". Love, career, money, focus, energy or family, the same six activities as the Planner tab.
  • The next moon phase. "When is the next full moon in Planetaro". Date, time and the Moon's sign at that moment.
  • Sunrise and sunset. "What time is sunrise in Planetaro". Today or tomorrow.
The one habit to build is saying "in Planetaro". Siri answers some questions from its own weather data if you leave the app name out. With the name in the sentence, the question always reaches Planetaro, and the rest of the wording can be loose.

Ten languages, not just English

The Siri phrases are translated into all ten languages Planetaro ships in: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Portuguese and Russian. Ask in the language your Siri speaks and the answer comes back in that language, with the app's own astrology vocabulary rather than a literal translation.

How it works under the hood

Planetaro's Siri support is built on App Intents, the framework Apple uses to let Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight call into an app. Each question is an intent that reads the same calculations the app itself uses. Nothing is sent anywhere: your saved location stays on the device, and planetary hours, moon phases and void of course periods are computed locally, exactly as they are when you open the app.

The intents work from iOS 17 onwards. iOS 27's Siri understands natural language more freely, so on the newest system you have more ways to phrase the same question, but the feature does not depend on it.

The same intents show up in the Shortcuts app as 26 ready-made actions, one per planet for the next hour, one per activity for the best hours, one per phase for the next moon phase, so you can drop a planetary hours check into a morning automation without configuring anything.

Why now

We built this for the iOS 27 launch, the release where Siri starts understanding questions in your own words and matching them to what apps expose. Being there on day one mattered to us. Planetaro has been a one-person project since 2020 and a two-person team today, with more than three thousand ratings and a 4.8 average worldwide, and this is the release we spent the summer on.
